Health & Safety Commitment

Dearborn Symphony is committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for all. We follow current health and safety guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of Michigan, Wayne County Health Department, and the City of Dearborn to ensure a safe and enjoyable concert experience for all. We encourage patrons to stay home if they’re feeling unwell.

Your well-being, and that of our musicians and staff, remains a top priority. Together, our small acts of consideration—whether wearing a mask, staying home when sick, or supporting our safety policies—help ensure an uplifting and safe concert experience for all. Thank you for joining us in creating a healthy space where music can continue to inspire, uplift, and enrich our community.

Anti-Discrimination

The Dearborn Orchestral Society is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. We do not discriminate or give preferential treatment based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

This commitment applies to all aspects of our operations, including employment, volunteer engagement, educational programs, artistic opportunities, and contracting.

We are dedicated to ensuring equitable access and opportunity for all.

Alcohol at Events & Activities

The Dearborn Symphony complies fully with City of Dearborn regulations regarding alcohol on city property, including the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. It is unlawful to consume, use, sell, or possess any alcoholic beverage on City property without a valid permit.

Alcohol may only be served or sold at Symphony-related events if proper permits are obtained through the City and, when required, through licensed vendors. All state and local laws must be followed.

Any plans involving alcohol must be approved in advance by the Executive Director to ensure compliance and preserve our valued relationship with the City.
